"This inexpensive shop in Kamakura, not far from the station, has such a great selection of foods made from tofu! Although it's located on Komachi Street, which is the busiest tourist shopping street in Kamakura, the majority of products it sells seem like items you'd find in a local neighborhood shop in Japan things you'd pick up to prepare dinner. For example they have a tofu with a tough consistency that can be breaded and fried to look like and taste like chicken. There's also plenty of snacks like donuts and sweets made from tofu. This was a surprising find, and although everything is probably not vegan, most of it is. If you're in Kamakura, this is definitely worth a visit."

"I have been participating in (vegan) wagashi and vegan shojin Ryori dresses for several years. the school was hosted at several locations in kamakura, but I love that the classes are always small, there are plenty of hand-on time and the pictures (including mari fujii, renowned expert for shojin ryori) are all excellent! Themes of the classes include rammen and gyoza, oyaki, holiday menus and fixed menus. the students are a beautiful mix of Japanese and international, and (older) children are also welcome. it is so great to learn here in kamakura shojin ryori where many important Zen temples are to be found, and I am always looking forward to my classes! the instructors will also recommend buying products in the Japanese super market or equivalents in their home country. when they will be in kamakura, they try to take a class in the atelier cafe kamakura!"

"Vegetarian gluten-free diner is happy! (and you can bring your meat-loving friends) the promising, simple vegetarian cuisine makes about 80% of the menu. the friendly master and server that were accommodated for our orders were gf. it is so great to be in a restaurant where the diners are as friendly as the personal. everyone was smiling and friendly around each other and also new customers there. the master and the server welcomed and went all customers after the meal to the door. For meat lovers there are a few delicious options such as wagyu bark and the eggplant steak has mined pork on the head. we were pleasantly surprised by the savory yuzu senf taste of vegetarian radishes sushi. the lotus root chips are gluten-free and perfectly crispy. the house salad has a rainbow of colors and aromas in her mouth. we will definitely come back!"

"They had as 2-4 options, but it was very tiresome to find them, need to get on Japanese ingredients. if we find it, we buy a brot and it was good. we probably had great expectations. they use much soy milk, but they have added milk. no vegan curry jack"

"Vegan foodie here and this is a hidden gem we came across. Sweetest people run this place. The chef said he will surprise us with a vegan meal plate and and boy was it delicious! To me felt like soul food Salad, fried eggplant, chickpeas curry, fried bitter gourd, mixed vegetable hash and rice. Thankful for such a lovely experience "
