"We stopped for fuel just south of here, and asked the lady there where she would suggest lunch. She pointed up the road, said "Auberge, on the left" and away we went. It was the least expensive meal we had in all of Burgundy, and it was one of the three best. We were welcomed like family, fed just as well, and at the end, I said to Madame, "Thank you for a wonderful meal." She replied, "You are welcome. It almost makes me sad to take your money. Almost."
