I used to have dinner in the evening at a slightly higher place in the short north and ordered California Rolls there. I have to say that Otani's was much better and BIGGER was the other restaurant offer. Besides, I noticed they're holding the entrance back. Nice. Something's happening here. Get up!"

"We went here with a groupon after reading all the negative reviews, so needless to say we weren't expecting a whole lot but we were blown away. The food was excellent! We felt that every course was on par with or better than other Japanese spots, and the portions were quite generous. Full jumbo shrimp appetizers! The service was also spectacular, our entire table was laughing and clapping along with our chef for the whole meal. I am not sure if we got really lucky, or if the place is under new management or if the other reviewers are trying to sabotoge, but my wife and I will certainly be going back here again."
