"El Toro Loco was quite near our hotel. We finally got brave and went in for tapas. I speak Spanish quite well but no one there did. A French couple who learned Spanish dishes in Spain. The wife was our personal and humorous tapas and wine pairing guide. The tapas with their sauces were wonderful. We tasted several wines to decide on the pairing. Absolutely delightful!"

"Je prends un verre de Monaco sur leur terrasse avec 2 amies.J'ai déjà bu la moitié du verre et à un moment alors que je m'apprête à prendre une gorgée je pousse un cri et pose avec dégoût le verre car s'y baigne une Guêpe !! Je suis écœurée de voir que j'aurai pu l'avaler si je n'avais pas prêtée attention.Je vais voir la serveuse qui m'oriente vers le patron.Je lui explique mon dégoût et que je ne boirais pas le reste.Ce dernier constate la guêpe et me dit que ce n'est rien et qu elle ne me fera pas de mal.Il est ennervé et me parle avec un ton que je n'aime pas...je sens qu il se moque royalement de moi avec ses propos..Et pour bien me faire comprendre qu il me prend pour une idiote , il retire nerveusement la guêpe avec une spatule et complète le verre me le tendant. Je suis estomaquée,l'insecte à baigné dans mon verre et il voudrait que je le boive!!Je lui dis que je ne boirai pas son verre , que c est dégoûtant ! Il est au bord de l'explosion mais je ne lâche pas, je veux juste pouvoir finir ce que je vais payer.Il vide nerveusement le verre et me le rempli de nouveau.Je suis écœurée de sa réaction ...aucun esprit commerçant....je déconseille vivement"

"5 minutes that I am in Brittany (for the first time in my life for just 2 hours) and I enjoy it to eat a cake. What do you mean? That was great! The chef is very friendly and very commercial (he offered a small crêpe in dessert to make me taste). I'll be back when I'm on Vannes!"

"Dans un très joli petit village du Pays Basque intérieur, à côté d'une magnifique petite église, et sur la route des chemins de Saint Jacques de Compostelle, vous trouverez une auberge ravissante.Dès l'entrée, par un très gentil accueil, vous sentez que vous allez être bien ici. On vous donne la carte, on vous propose un apéritif, et on vous prend la commande sans trop d'attente. Petits amuse bouche pour patienter (délicieux), l'entrée suit, de même pour le plat et le dessert. Le personnel est très professionnel, un œil à tout (s'il vous manque de l'eau, du pain, vous n'avez jamais à le demander), de plus cela se fait sans aucune sensation de pression, et toujours avec un très joli sourire. La salle était pleine (environ 60 couverts), vraiment service très bien rodé. Il est donc évident que si cela se passe très bien en salle, cela veut dire qu'en cuisine, le chef et sa brigade sont au point. Les cuissons étaient parfaites, aussi bien pour les poissons que pour les accompagnement, l'agneau était extra (rosé à cœur). Très bonne utilisation de l'épice reine du Pays Basque, à savoir le Piment d'Espelette, pas trop de piquant et de force, mais un goût subtil. Même avec les dessert, jusqu'au bout tout était parfait. Un petit conseil, au vue de la carte qui propose des produits régionaux excellents, on pourrait s'attendre à ce que l'apéritif maison soit plus local, le punch maison, même s'il était bon, dénote un peu. Nous y reviendrons."
