"Nice hotel, but the signs of wear and tear show. For example, one of the fixtures in the shower was loose so I had to fit it back so I could switch between regular shower and the rain shower. The batteries in the room safe deposit box also needed replacing. Apart from that, no real big issues. I like the architecture of the place, even though it meant climbing steps from the beach up to the lobby lift. (There is an alternate way to get to the lobby lift without climbing the stairs, and that’s by walking the sloping road around the hotel to the entrance not too much of an extra effort) The room was spacious and we got the sea view room so the view was nice. We didn’t get the highest one, but it was good enough to have some privacy. The bed was soft but comfy enough. The beach in front of the hotel is very nice, and is generally quieter compared to Laem Mae Phim Beach. There are not many eateries around (apart from a bar and another resort beside the hotel), so the breakfast buffet at the hotel is probably the best option if you wake early and need to fill your tummy. There is a good variety and the food is generally yummy. The area is probably good for a jog. In fact, there is a suggested jogging path pasted on one of the walls in the small gym in the basement. Just take note of barking dogs, though I haven’t come across any aggressive ones. In fact, the suggested jogging route shows a short cut to Laem Mae Phim past the Morakot Mae Phim shrine, via a dirt track accessible only by foot. Nearby is Koh Munnork Pier where there may be some local food stalls set up during certain times. We were headed to Koh Munnork after we checked out, and the hotel offered a ride to the pier for 50 baht per person. The staff were generally friendly and helpful. Especially the friendly gentleman who helped with our luggage when we checked in, and brought us to the pier when we checked out."
Centara Q Resort Rayong from Klaeng is a good place for a bar to have a beer after work and be able to hang out with friends, for breakfast they serve a extensive breakfast here. Of course, the right drink with a meal can be crucial; this gastropub offers a large range of tasty and regional alcoholic beverages like beer or wine.
