"We were in Chimney Rock Nov 13-15 and on Tuesday night the only restaurant left open was Nachitos so we gave it a try. We have traveled all over the US, Canada, Caribbean and into Mexico. This was the best authentic Mexican food we've ever eaten! The server was fantastic and when he heard I loved hot food, he brought me a huge grilled Jalapeño pepper on the house. The owner, Jonathan Angeles, is an awesome cook and truly understands customer service. We enjoyed the food, speaking to Jonathan and to the young man who served our food. Jonathan surprised us with some Flan for dessert that was out of this world. We can't wait to go back and enjoy the best food you'll ever eat. Well done Jonathan and the staff and Thank You again!"

"It is a decent historical place. Food is good and reliable. Getting into the park can be tricky, and even if it is quiet, it can take a minute to be served. French dip tasted good and was made fresh. Beautiful view of the water in the front as you come."

"Fantastic! had wonderful time and eating came perfect and in a perfect amount of time. both of us who have appeared in this week, we enjoyed everything we had to offer. I love coming here at any time while in RB’a resort, but this summer stood out and offered absolutely brilliant customer service. in our first night, even under all the stress of a busy Saturday on the 3rd juli, made them feel welcome to us and all around us while clearly also the pressure during their busy holiday layer. Thanks summer!"

"After exploring Chimney Rock and Hickory Nut Falls, I welcomed this place as a break from the heat on the small Main Street. For a small unassuming place, the seating on the water, the great beer options, the service, and the food were fantastic. What was intended as a quick beer stop ended up being an enjoyable and relaxing meal watching groups gather in the river upstream. You'll appreciate this stop!"

"Some aspects were amazing and others very disappointing but in a nutshell not quite what you’d expect for the cost and would stay elsewhere next time. My daughter and I stayed for two weekend nights. We had massages, and dinner one night. The hot tub jets and filters were broken both nights, the Speakeasy Bar closed both nights as well. The massages were incredible. Breakfast was very good as well both days although you have only one option. The only vegetarian option for dinner was not great tortellini which is pretty easily made at home again nothing special for the price. We wanted so badly to love it and tried to be good sports as the owner acknowledges below but I’d never return or recommend it for the cost and night #2 was the turning point. My daughter did talk to the owner after dinner on the last night when We were offered $5 off gift card in the gift shop IF we spent more money. As a customer service person herself, my daughter felt this was the point something needed to be said and did so directly to the owner. A few of the staff were absolutely wonderful and I would have given it the highest marks with some effort to acknowledge the issues for a weekend this expensive well over $900. We stayed at a historic B&B our last night of the trip in downtown Asheville less expensive and unbelievably better management and effort for making things special noticeable touches lacking at the Esmeralda which compelled me to write this but thankfully our trip ended on a great note and this in no way ruined it. We appreciate everything. Good memories and we can laugh about the bad ones."
