"We visited a few years ago and thought the owner was somewhat rude to us because she was very standoff-ish and acted like she didn’t want to speak to us. However, my husband and I did leave her some feminine hygiene products and older magazines to share with her customers and other visitors, as well as purchased 2 drinks and stamps and postcards. I was very excited to visit this bookstore on my first trip to Havana, but to be honest, I’d never go again."

"Terrible hygiene. Really noisy and low quality food. The place is basically a garage transformed into a rustic dining. The food is abundant and bland and salty at the same time. But poor quality, like coming from yesterday leftovers. The music is loud and people yell and shout and it is pure madness. But the worst part is the smell and the absolute lack of basic hygiene and oxygen. I visited the place and I really regret I did. I felt sick just an hour late. Avoid."
