"First visit to the Harbour Fish Chips. The restaurant was not open so take away only. No problem, we were staying at an apartment around the corner. We ordered two large Haddock and one large chips. the Haddock were of good size, lightly battered and cooked perfectly. The large chips were also nicely cooked and ample for the two of us, Staff were cheerful and polite. Ignore the reviews from the sour grape group. Highly recommended."

"We have been here before and I think last time we chose unwisely from the menu. This time we stuck to Thai dishes and were very happy we did. We sat down and were instantly offered thai prawn crackers with a dip – it was...a big basketful and we munched through these whilst perusing the menu. We had a couple of starters – satay and salt and pepper squid. Both were a good-sized portion and very tasty. For our mains we had king prawn pad thai (always a favourite), a green chicken curry and sweet chilli fish. The fish was deep fried in batter and beautifully cooked – no tiny bites here it was in large pieces so the fish was perfection. The prawns in the pad thai were plentiful and it was very tasty and the curry was very mild and jam packed with chicken. All in all a lovely meal and we certainly will return. Service is exceptional and the atmosphere buzzy even on a week night."

"Absolutely superlative pub, it’s unreal thinking to dine in such an old venue…it’s fascinating! The food is excellent, we had the venison casserole and the trio of venison and they were delicious, rich, tasty…definitely a delightful dinner.
