"If the review had negative I would give negative stars. Ordered meals after they told those are limited meals and service boy he is very arrogant. Plates were not cleaned properly look like they are oldest historical plates, stinky. Rice half cooked, rice got over even the limited meals they serve very little. Worst ever experience in varanasi"

"This was a reasonably-priced, decent place in a good location. As with many places in Varanasi, you have to walk to this hotel because tuk-tuks aren't allowed in towards the Ghats. It was a bit hard to find and google maps doesn't work that well in the winding alleys. It is well-located, next to the river and ghats. The rooms were fine and reasonably priced. The bathrooms are shared (one on each floor). They are clean. There are desert coolers rather than AC and we had to refill the water ourselves. The proprietor arranged a sunrise boat tour for us for 200 rupees per person (we had 4). The Brown Bread Bakery does advertise a cheaper boat. As a side note, I overpaid the 800-rupee by a factor of 10 (8000 rupees because I thought the 50s were 5s (stupid on my part). The proprietor took the money and was counting it as a walked away. When I realized my mistake a few hours later (I brought it up in front of some other guests that were sitting in the office), after a few minutes wait, he handed the money back to me and said he hadn't counted it."
