"A barbecue restaurant in a residential neighbourhood, we were the first diners on a Tuesday evening but the room soon filled up with locals. A pleasant welcome from a friendly waiter, service was brisk but the menu could do with a little more detail I speak very good French and quite a bit of Spanish (no Catalan yet but struggled to get information to help my choices. Toast and some very good allioli accompanied apéros and then starters were served. My over oily escalivada was overshadowed by the delicious plate of white beans with bacon, tomato and garlic that a friend was tucking into (I got to try though! Unfortunately, my grilled salmon was really very late arriving at the table (apologies were made , the chips I asked for never arrived. HOWEVER, when it came, the salmon was delicious plenty of fresh lemon to squeeze and crispy bbq'd skin. I cannot remember what I had for dessert (did I even have dessert ... and I can remember what I ate on an evening out for my grandparents' 40th wedding annuversary in 1979. Dinner for 5, apéros, red and rosé wine €139 ... so, good value for money, yes. All in all, some real highs, some lows (cod salad was a poor imitation of a ceviche but friendly service and a pleasant atmosphere. Return visits ... the family and friends I was dining with were on their 3rd or 4th visit, they agreed some dishes were better thsn othrrs. Would I go back? Probably, it was so close to the house were we stay and next time I'd order my own portion of those awesome beans! Wait it's all coming back to me. An over set pannacotta. More fool you I hear you say, ordering an Italian dessert in a Spanish restaurant in Spain ... you got me!"
