"We found this chic, familiar and very good restaurant just by chance, travelling from Prague to Italy. So, we couldn't have been lukier! The food and the service were both excellent. The staff was extremely helpful and kind even if it was 2.00 p.m., and made us understand the menu despite the fact that we didn't speak German at all. We tried some of the trout-dishes, goulash and the deer meat dish, which was really over the top! Very good desserts too. Great experience... very pleasant memories... thank you!"

"It does not happen every day that one discovers a hidden gem like this! Hidden? No, it is not hidden at all. It is directly at the main road from Klagenfurt to Velden (and therefore please don’t be surprised if it can be a bit...noisy at times). Why do I say hidden? Because neither me, living in Klagenfurt, nor my friends knew about the transition of an old fashioned restaurant into a very special place. The menu is wonderfully brief and the wine list is expertly composed. Yes, the food is GREAT and I like to send my compliments to the Chef. But the main thing is the service – the owner, Ms Maria Frank made our evening a special event! Her excellent staff hardly had a chance serving us because she was omnipresent – without being the fraction of a second too long at our table when we were in intense conversation. This place is the right place for you if you look for excellent cuisine around the Wörthersee but without all the tourists! And if you like to sample Austrian wines: peals ask Maria – it is amazing what she will offer by the glass at reasonable prices!"
