"A nice little restaurant. A bit hard to find as it is at the back of a big retail centre on the outskirts of Toulouse. The menu is just a single piece of paper like a flyer but the food is pretty good. It's the real deal. Prices are not too expensive and they do a buffet fajita. The owner has come back from living in Mexico for many years so the dishes are a little different from the usual tex mex stuff and a bit more authentic. Give it a try."

"Chateau Troplong Mondot is a lovely venue... The restaurant - on a vine covered restaurant is beautiful, charming, peaceful etc. The restaurant is comfortable; well-spaced tables and comfortable seating. The service was excellent and wines, of course, first rate. Service was a bit too speedy for me- would have liked a more relaxed pace.Food was generally excellent although the sauces on the snail starter and the pigeon were really too heavy for the weather (30º+), tasted too similar and should not, in my view, have been on the same "Menu Decouvert". However, everything else was delicious and looked spectacular on the plate. Bread was "historic"! The "Menu Decouvert" is the way to go with lots of excellent extras.Use the TukTuk service for the centre of St Emilion to get to the restaurant!"

"The wonderful, oversized, beautiful burgers at this roadside chowdown for grey nomads are superb. I saw truckies and fatigued caravanners loading up on calories for the next phase of their long, demanding journeys. We opted for the twice-crowned world's best Burger With The Lot by way of challenging our gastrointestinal microbiome and, you'd be pleased to know, our biota won but only by the smallest margin. Mexican reigns supreme here, but we dodged that, being of extremely waspish bent. We were tempted to try the hand washing facilities - consisting of a hose and a soiled bottle of liquid soap sitting on the grassy restaurant floor - offered by our grumpy host, but instead prudently reverted to the ever-safe alcohol gel provided by our pharmacist matriarch.Food 5 out of 5Chef 5 out of 5Hand Washing facilities 2 out of 5Mein Host -2 out of 5 and the Sargeant Schultz Award for the bumbling, inhospitable Front of HouseTry it for the crazy experience."
