"We went here for Valentine's night dinner, for what better place to celebrate Valentine than San Valentino. The experience was wonderful. This is a thoroughly cozy setting, only a few tables and a warm welcoming fire burning in the fire place. The service was gracious and the meal delicious. The set Valentine's menu included a large plate full of wonderful appetisers, the bread with organic pumpkin spread and the cheeses with their own organic jams were our favorites. This was followed by two pasta dishes (thankfully not too large the first was a traditional cheese and black pepper pasta that was served in a small dish made out of parmesan cheese. After this, an onion and artichoke pasta and as the main course very tender pork, a small potatoe muffin which was delicious and an incredible white creamy sauce which we both agreed was the best of its kind we had ever tasted. Dessert was chocolate cake which was nearly too rich. All in all a lovely evening and incredible value as the price for two was 50 euro."

"Very nice location. Beautiful terrace overlooking the wood and the river. A bit hard to find at first time. Excellent dinner. We opted for a vegetarian meal: excellent pici cacio e pepe, extraordinary vegetarian burger and black chickpeas and black lentils. Very generous portions we couldn’t finish, but we left with our doggy bags!!! Very good apple pie. Good value for money. You must have a look at the cave beneath the restaurant, simply amazing. If we have to find a negative aspect, tables were not respecting the COVID prevention distance, but we were outside. In any case it would be better to respect the regulation. Definitely our best meal in this area."

"We were visiting Sorano for the first time and walking through the charming narrow streets we came across this charming Locanda. Judging from the simple menu outside I just felt this place was going to be an authentic local Tuscan experience.We had a charming lady serve us who bought excellent vino rosso della casa.Dell' Arco's menu is very small and I guess they change it according to the season and what the chef is in the mood for.We chose for starters Crostini misti della casa and Involtini di cinghiale filled with ricotta and zucchine,both excellent,simple but with some fantasy from the kitchen using local ingredients.Next I had fresh Tagiolini with ricotta and truffles,sublime and my partner chose a wonderful hearty bean and chickpea soup with fabulous local olive oil.Already being quite full and actually the menu did'nt contain many secondi we decided to take dolce,choosing a ricotta and orange mousse and cantuccini with vin santo.All in all a great experience,relaxed atmosphere,friendly service and the elderly owner walking around tables with a mixture of locals and tourists popping in.Great value for less than 40 EUR.Definately recommended!"
