"Dieses Lokal bewerte ich nicht nach einem Besuch, sondern es waren sicherlich schon >20 ;-) Das sagt eigentlich schon alles. Sehr schön im Wald am Fuß der Dörenther Klippen gelegen, wird dieses Lokal und der angrenzende Campingplatz als Familienbetrieb bewirtschaftet. Solide deutsche Küche mit schwäbischem Einschlag. Hausgemachtes Handwerk, frische Küche, leckere Soßen, die Schnitzel, die es ebenfalls in reichlicher Auswahl auf der Karte gibt (meist zur Freude der Herren ;-)) sind legendär, vor allem, weil man das Klopfen vor der frischen Zubereitung aus der Küche hören kann.. Der Service ist zuvorkommend und sehr familiär, die Preise sind zivil und der Qualität mehr als angemessen. Der Wirt verfügt über sehr gute gastronomische Kenntnisse, sowohl beim Essen, wie auch bei den Weinen und edlen Bränden, die man nach dem Essen geniessen kann. Etwas Wartezeit sollte man an den Wochenenden einplanen, das Schwäbische Wirtshaus ist stets gut besucht und alles wird frisch zubereitet. Aber: für die Wartezeit gibts u.a. leckeres "Andechs" vom Fass;-). Im Sommer ist es am Schönsten: Eine schöne Terasse lädt zum gemütlichen Verweilen mit Freunden ein, Vogelgezwitscher und Waldduft inclusive. Alles in Allem: Wenn man am Ende eines Abends dort bezahlt, tut man es gern und freut sich auch noch lange nach dem Besuch, einen sehr angenehmen Abend verbracht zu haben. Es wird weiterhin eines meiner Lieblings-Lokalitäten sein, und der nächste Sommer kommt ja auch bald .."

"We had a successful evening. The food was very tasty. Very nice and friendly staff. We had someone in our group with a walker. Wasn't a problem at all. Since the toilets are in the basement, a toilet without stairs for people with restricted mobility was immediately pointed out without asking. "In the evening Münsterland, the WDR from Münster presents a humorous culinary contribution by Comedian Christoph Tiemann once or twice a month.
