"On our return from Cima del cacciatore, we got stuck in Lussari, with an injured mountaineer due to bad weather. The owner of the restaurant got into his personal vehicle without hesitation and transported the injured person. Then he and his staff managed to serve fifty hungry and frozen mountaineers in record time. The food was typical Italian and unforgettably delicious. We tried all the dishes together and enjoyed every bite, especially the apple pie. Lussari is divine and we will remember it not only for its beauty buz also for the friendly and warm host, the incredibly delicious food and the surprisingly affordable prices. This is definitely one of those places where you wish to return."

"We stopped for lunch. It was very busy but we found a table (the staff weren’t interested in helping). Waited about 10 minutes to place and order then another 45 minutes for two plates of spaghetti. The staff seemed chaotic and disorganised, the woman in charge seemed to have had her smile surgically removed and had no customer skills whatsoever. When it arrived the spaghetti was very average. Suspect they made us wait so long in the hope we would order another beer. We didn’t. Still, it is on the main road through Tarvisio in a prime position so it can be as bad as it likes and people will still walk through the door……."
