"We came here 8 years ago and had 2 fantastic meals so made a beeline for it on this trip and were not disappointed. It’s a big restaurant with lovely views overlooking the river. The meat dishes are the highlight here, the boar tagliatelle is amazing, full of flavour with an incredibly generous amount of flaky meat. We also had a pork chop that was perfectly cooked, moist and had herbs stuffed into the meat which gave it the most incredible flavour. A plate of ravioli with cheese and sage turned out to be envelopes of the thinnest pasta with a lovely herby soft cheese filling in a light buttery sauce. My only criticism was that sage leaves were left raw in the dish when they would have been so much nicer and more edible had they been fried. We had a litre of delicious house red wine to wash it all down with, water and a slice of zuccotto, a semi-frozen dessert which was ok. All these dishes came to the grand total of €40 which is stunning value for such accomplished cooking. Also don’t assume because this is a large restaurant you will always get a table without booking, you won’t."
