"Cool staff, awesome drinks but the chef was not so great. Nice menu, bad execution multiple times during our visit. Wife took me here for my birthday. They offer a private room for free which is nice. However, this is a HIGH END restaurant and the food was just not what it should be. Go for the drinks, eat elsewhere. Check my history, I have eaten everywhere. How do you offer table side dover fish but it 's not prepared tableside? We had to ask the young man...can you come closer? No flavor and dry. My steak was the incorrect temp, had to send that $70 steak back. Just odd for a place this expensive and with 25 Years of history."

"I lucked up on a reservation at Seagar's over the very busy Labor Day Weekend. It was literally the last reservation available for the entire holiday weekend. I think someone canceled and I stumbled upon the opening. I booked it but after reading some reviews I almost canceled the reservation but I didn't. I am so glad I decided to keep it. Lobster Bisque was wonderful as well as bread and butter, small filet and sautéed mushrooms. It was so good I went back the next night night and ate at the bar. I had the Lobster Bisque again, Tuna Tartar and Crème Brule. I had every intention in trying to find another seat at the bar on my third and last night but I was just to drained from a full day at the beach so instead I ate my left over filet and sautéed mushrooms in the room. This was my third stay at the Hilton Sandestin but my first time to eat here. I will make it a must do every time I am there from here on out"

"This place would have to be one of the best places I have ever eaten at. The waiter was super friendly and answered all of our questions. Our orders were all correct and were swiftly delivered to our table. One of our orders was accidentally picked up by another waiter but our order was quickly remade and brought to our table. The food was fantastic and the fries were wonderful. I could go on forever about how amazing my experience here was. Customer service was top tier and even the entertainment was good. Would highly recommend taking family and or friends here to eat. Also of note they have great pricing deals on certain meals."

"I spend a lot of time talking crap about how terrible restaurants on the beach are – about how they don’t have to be good because of the ocean view. About how prices are jacked up because of the location. About the lack of good service because we get to stare at the ocean while eating. I really had low expectations for Surf Hut. The only reason I get suckered into trying it was because I was told that the fish tacos there were awesome. Fish tacos? Yes, my ears perk up automatically. But, again, low expectations."
