"We love this park. It's always clean and well maintained. We frequent the playground south of the pond perfect for our young kids. Our son likes to practice his balance bike on the little dirt bike course (he thinks the dirt hills and wood ramps are the coolest). When it's warm we feed the ducks don't tell anyone."

"I used to go to Happy Valley all the time when they were at their old location. Today's hot pot was exactly like it used to be back then! Terrific thin sliced meats with seafood, noodles and vegetables. Fried wantons were excellent!"

"We've gotten Hy-Vee Chinese food many times and it was always good. This time, it wasn't. My noodles had big stems of some wilted soggy parsley or cilantro or I don't know what. The noodles had some bitter slightly lemon flavor. My egg roll and pot stickers were tasteless. My husband got the Sweet Chili Thai chicken. Had more vegetables than chicken, had no chili heat. His fried rice was tasteless. Very disappointed."

"The bad first.... I ordered the catfish basket and the fish came undercooked. Also, even though they were not busy the food took way too long to leave the kitchen. And, the good.... Our waitress was awesome and nice. The other entrees were great! Because everything else was great I didn't want to blast them for the catfish. The waitress asked why I didn't eat it so I told her. Within a minute the manager was talking to me and paid for my meal. I didn't even ask for it, but they were very professional and understanding. I will definitely be back."

"So, after reading a poor review I left for an Irish restaurant in Tulsa, Perry McCall, co-owner of the Keltic Star reached out to me and suggested that I try them out if ever I found myself in Manhattan, Kansas.<br/ <br/ Well, I decided to call Mr. McCall's bluff, so my husband and I made the 4.5 hour trek from Tulsa to Manhattan yesterday! Boy, am I glad we did!<br/ <br/ The pub is just great! Clean, cozy, and definitely reminiscent of pubs found in Wales! We brought my mom with us. She has MS and utilizes a wheelchair. The doors were nice and wide and she was able to access the bathroom with no issues.<br/ <br/ I loved the fact that this is a family run restaurant and the pride was more than apparent! The McCall's son served us and both Mr. Mrs. McCall (Perry Shirley) came to speak to us which was so nice! I felt like we were meeting with old friends!<br/ <br/ The Irish Eggrolls were tasty but the Bryn Mawr was, by far, the winner as far as appetizers were concerned! I've never thought of pairing corned beef with horseradish sauce, but I can't imagine ever leaving it off our table again when corned beef is served!<br/ <br/ My husband and I both ordered the Pub Platter because we couldn't decide what we wanted most. It was all tasty and we appreciated the fact that the shepherd's pie was made with lamb and not beef! The fish and chips were the star of the meal, hands down. My Welsh husband claimed they were the best he has had since we moved back to the US 3 years ago and I have to agree with him. They were absolutely perfect! The beer batter wasn't at all stodgy, but instead was perfectly crisp and the fish was flaky and moist. Next time, I'm ordering the full fish and chips! Exceptional! My mom ordered the Irish lamb stew, with which she had no qualms!<br/ <br/ Everything was so fresh and appealed to both the Americans at the table (my mom and myself) as well as the Welshman!<br/ <br/ My husband and I will most likely talk about the perfect fish and chips on a regular basis until we return to the Keltic Star in the future...which we fully intend on doing! You know it's gotta be good if someone is willing to make a 9 hour round trip just for lunch!<br/ <br/ Word to the wise, for anyone coming in from/heading back to Oklahoma, be mindful of the speed limits on 75! My husband has a lead foot and a cop quite literally came out of nowhere and caught him doing 83 in a 65. So, avoid the $200+ speeding ticket, and just drive home nice and slow, reminiscing about the exceptional food you just ate!"
