"Today we went to Helen and ate in the Alt Heidelberg Restaurant. The decoration in this restaurant looks like it comes from a garage sale. The table dresses a funky green color. At the entrance we already noticed the atmosphere. Then we should have been right. The service of a woman and a male in jogging pants was terrible. The food was under any grading. Sauerkraut was served cold. The mixed green was with sauerkraut, which is completely unheard in Germany. The coke was served in plastic cups, the coffee in some cheap 50 cent cups. Not to mention the taste of the so-called Black-Forrest cake. This cake must have been three weeks ago. They added cream from the can to cover the yellowish whip. The waiter had a jogging pants with obviously nothing underneath. It was bad. This place is far too expensive. You can't even get a glass for your beer. I strongly recommend going through this place. Don't eat there. There's no idea how old the food is. It was a great disappointment."

"Great tourist spot with great prices. Not gonna give you the amazing restaurant feel but out of all the the restaurants we've been to in Helen this is by far the best. The bear is great and the service matches. The waiter was super friendly and pronounced all the meals and drinks in better German then I speak. We will definitely be back and enjoy a drink or two the next time we're in Helen."

"Such a quaint restaurant with a great breakfast! Claudia is such a friendly and welcoming owner. She took the time to explain the menu and make suggestions. The pancakes are AMAZING; you don't even need syrup. The bagels were to die for also, they were so light and crispy. Claudia explain how she gets them from New York, flash frozen and boils them in NYC water for a more authentic bagel. Get there early for a table and prepare to make friends. Love it, and we will be back on our next trip."
