"Poorly managed area. The food is passable, meaning if you are hungry, it will satisfy your craving. However, the lack of stars specifically have to do with the two cash register employees, and the manager named RUBY at this area, experienced on Sunday evening 2/28/2021. From an outside view looking in, you can see that none of the employees are happy to be there including, the manager Ruby. (Though, this seems to be evident throughout the casino: from the floor waitresses, cashiers, security, to the table games staff). Back at Agate Pass Deli, first rule of customer service, show some form of happiness even if its disingenuous because customer service is all about projection. Second, as we were moving up in line, instead of stating next! for the next person in line, like a person at DMV how about, Can I help the next customer , I can take the next order or Next customer, please? This indirectly generates pleasantness and gratitude. Lastly, when a customer approaches register, a simple salutation, Can I take your order? or Welcome to Agate Pass , whatever, would be pleasant. Not just stand there and stare at the customer which is exactly what this young lady did. Including, remaining silent throughout the transaction with the exception of, Anything else? and the price of our meal. Again, pleasantry goes a long way. The excuse you will hear is the line was long or it was crowded however, I 've been to enough eateries which were crowded, that never lost sight of basic customer service. This manager, Ruby because that was on the name tag is responsible, because the employees under her are either poorly trained, poorly selected, or dislike the conditions imposed by the manager. There are no bad students, only bad teachers."

"This casino buffet has gone downhill quickly. It used to be the place to go and have a great meal with all the various Buffet options. It seems that they're not turning the food over enough because typically all the the food is dry. As if it's been sitting around for too long. The salad bar is pretty fresh looking, and the couple of soups that they serve a day seem to be okay. But honestly everything else on the buffet is just not good. It doesn't look good. It's just not presented well because it's dried out, overcooked, or been sitting too long. They do have a Mongolian type grill, with fresh thinly sliced meats, vegetables, and a variety of sauces. It's actually not too bad but they put the sauce is on for you instead of you being able to do it yourself. So I've really never had great luck with them getting my sauces the way I like to make them even though I tell them what I want. I don't really eat dessert so I cannot comment on the desert section of the buffet. The actual sit-down space is pretty cramped. So trying to maneuver between the patrons who are seated to get to the buffet lines for your food can be challenging if the restaurant is crowded. This is no longer the place that I used to highly recommend and would take guests in the past. My thought is if you are really hungry and have a discount coupon or free mailed discount coupon, or points are comps on your card then it's worth it. Otherwise, there are definitely better options even with some of the other restaurants at the casino. Although they're not that great either but they are better than the buffet."

"We are regular customers of Clearwater and have always enjoyed it so it's hard for me to write this. For the first time in over 6 years, we were thoroughly disappointed. When you go to dinner at a steakhouse you would expect that the one thing they do well would be steak. My wife ordered the prime rib medium rare. It arrived at the table med. well and dry as if sitting under heat lights for some time. She immediately sent it back only to have it arrive back at the table turned over with some Au Jus added. They didn't even attempt to replace the meat which in any restaurant worth going to, that is completely unacceptable. If you don't have the temperature requested available, say so. In addition, I had the short rib and although flavorful it was very overdone. Our server was great and she responded right away and properly, so no issue there the other items ordered although not exactly hot, were what we would expect at Clearwater. We are hoping this is a one-time thing, but we are definitely hesitant to go back for a while."
