"Lovely location with good service however we must have caught it on an evening when the main chef was off duty. French onion soup very watery, Coq au vin was more like a ragout and the roquefort steak's swam in sauce. Presenation not the best....However the restaurant appeared to be very popular paticularly for family birthday celebrations for elderly family members so obviously locals enjoy the food. We will not be going back however"

"Were here to fourth for a dinner. Nice service, comfortable chairs. Food and drink selection so big that everyone can find something. Rumpsteaks were good, my salmon with Rösti and Salat was actually an appetizer, for me as the main course completely sufficient and good. If you don't expect a big buckling snack to eat, you'll be fine here. Ordinary offer at real prices."

"If it was only about the beautifully restored old building and the beautiful (beautiful outdoor terrace) in maudach, this would be one of my favorite spots in the opposite of ludwigshafen. at the end of the day, however, food counts and this is unfortunately not the luck of this place. if the owner nicola is really Italian and cook, he must have forgotten a lot of his school time. one of the most popular Italian dishes 'saltimbocca alla romana' with unappetiful forms? what the devil? in italy, a cook that would prepare such a dish would run risk of being shot on the street after leaving the restaurant! the pizza looked frozen out and tasted part, meat quality of the filet was under average (was it even a filet?) perhaps here the kitchen is pampered by the low expectations of the local clientele. if they love the Italian cuisine, they should not eat here! I'm sure I won't return."
