"The north of Spain is a very meat- and milk-containing place. The Camino de Santiago during eating vegan can be challenging and while I have survived it twice at the supermarket Kichererbsen, it is such a pleasure to find some vegan comfort food and specialties on the way. It is the only business with vegan products in miles, the owner was incredibly nice and helpful and they offer some not as common items as to find a delicious (sometimes expensive) coconut yogurt. Sinceán, tofu, cheeze, nooch... All available at a slightly higher price than what I would get in Madrid, but it is understandable given how niches can be these products in Comillas."
