"I found this place on the same street as my hotel (Motel One, Royal Exchange). It’s a very busy small place that has a few counters to eat inside. The food that I had – haddock and chips – was excellent. No frills just perfect fish chips."

"We read the reviews on Tripadviser as we were looking for a lovely northern chippy. We had driven up from Cambridge to collect a car part, so we're very hungry. Opened at 4, 4.15 the doors were locked but we could see staff cooking, one man outside knocked on window to ask them to unlock. Once inside, no one said hello. My husband walked forward to place the order and the girl looked straight over his shoulder and asked me what we would like. Had to repeat my order to get it correct! No northern friendliness, I was born in Manchester have family there but got to say on this occasion our local chippy is much more friendly! Can't fault the food though"
