"We arrived in Vauvert around 9 pm and were starving, but it appears that this town shuts down relatively early. The first spot we stopped was Le Fiacre and were greeted by the kind waitress. She guided us to a table and provided us with a wine list and our menus. Speaking very little French, and her speaking very little English, we were able to practice both languages a bit while reading the menu options.Our wine was absolutely spectacular. We went with a bottle of 2012 Chateau Beaubois, and it was fantastic. Our meals arrived, and we could not have been happier with our selections. Everything was fresh, warm, and the chef clearly has a passion for food. The price was more than reasonable for the quality and quantity of food, and the service was probably the best we received anywhere on our trip. I would highly recommend Le Fiacre."

"Ate here two evenings in a row. Very local to where we were staying for the weekend, so given the lack of parking around the town, and our schedule, we decided to try it. People are friendly. Menu isn't bad. Really no complaints....Sauces tend to be a bit oily, but otherwise it's OK. Not Michelin level, but it is popular with the locals, so you'd better book ahead. Like I said, we ate there twice in a row, so it can't be bad. We didn't try anywhere else in town. Menu's aren't bad meat, fish, salads, desserts. We covered all the bases and no one had any complaints. Wine list is OK too. Decor and furniture is a bit run down, so it's not the kind of place for your wedding party, but it matches the town a bit run down, but still has a heart. There were 4 of us eating there, and the price for 4 x 2 courses, plus drinks, came to €114, so you can't complain about the price either."
