"Chegámos a Baião perto das 14h e escolhemos o primeiro restaurante que vimos. Numa quarta feira, a sala estava praticamente vazia, decorada à moda antiga, com garrafas de vinho expostas por todo lado, apenas duas mesas a almoçar o que parecia ser o prato do dia. O empregado, simpatiquíssimo, apercebeu-se imediatamente que eu e a minha mulher éramos de fora. Sugeriu a costeleta de vitela, que nós aceitámos. Não foi grosseiro nem insistente quando rejeitámos as entradas. Sugeriu o vinho da casa, acompanhado por uma pequena explicação sobre a sua origem, demonstrando conhecimento. A comida estava divinal, o vinho muito bom, tanto que pedimos a segunda caneca. Ficámos um bom tempo na sala a conversar, e mesmo sem mais ninguém para atender (passava das 15h), o empregado não abandonou a sala. Pagámos 30€ (2 pessoas), numa relação qualidade\preço espetacular. Mesmo depois de pagarmos, o empregado perguntou se queríamos provar a aguardente da casa e o vinho fino. Lá ficámos mais meia hora a degustar a especialidade, sempre com o empregado ao nosso dispor. Recomendo vivamente."
