"Waitstaff are rude. Never recieved order after waiting 15 minutes (even though others who arrived afterwards were served). Left without ordering. While we were in no way rude, aggressive, or pushy (we simply waited and then left), I suspect it was because we were Americans. We were very excited to eat here and the reviews are good. So our experience totally rebuked them."

"Very fast and excellent service at the food counter. After mentioning a menu for my children, I was given to special plates for a reduced menu on everything plus a free drink. The kids could play in the children's corner while I got our food. There was enough room for us and no one took care of when the children were a little loud. Great place!"

"Small gasthaus in Schaffhausen, with a cozy interior, with a little run-down/vintage look. We visited sundays, where I understand they have menus only (soup, main, dessert). We had a lamb schnitzel and a cordon bleu as mains. Both good, though not spectacular, especially in size. The dessert (small meringue with ice cream) was nice."

"The owners: Ivett and Freddy are really more than you welcome. I'll go to a week to eat horse riding with my friends. You always get great meat and fish. Ask Freddy what he would suggest, there's always something new he was hunting or getting. He is hunter and really has a great heart in preparing his dishes. Cordon-Bleu in winter are a must. Wild meat dishes (Tartar, Cordon-Bleu or in a sauce) are really his speciality. The price is honest and for the service you get, you can even pay more.
