"Friday leaving Cerritos mall with empty stomaches, Hector I decided to try out Sushi Forest. Are we glad we did, oh yes! We order the sashimi sampler, blue crab hand roll, dragon roll baked langostin roll, oh a couple of Sapppors. Food is phenomenal service is even better. Jim was great. We live in Whittier will definitely come back. Love it. Thank you Sushi Forest for the great dinner."

"First time here. We ordered a variety of different sushi rolls and thoroughly enjoyed them all. The sushi was fresh and tasty. The wasabi was soft and fluffy. The ginger slices were perfect. The customer service was excellent. The restaurant is small inside so not many customers can fit at one time. If you have a very large group, you may need to call to check if they can accommodate that. Highly recommend!"

"I was like Ozen sushi, But this time very disappointed. Order to all you can eat- some appetizer, salad, rolls and sushi. Waiting around 30min. Front only 2 sushi man busy work. Finally came in my orders, But missing some orders. I request again and serve us.. 2nd round orders better than 1st orders"

"I am not a vegetarian, but my wife is vegan, so we were really excited to find a udon shop with a vegan option. we went to the restaurant, confirmed that they could make a fish-free, meat-free broth and had a good meal. we returned again and discovered this time some kamuboko (fish cake) in the broth, but they apologised, swapped it for new suppe, and everyone was very happy again. Yesterday we went to the visit number 3, and the vegetarian waitress informed us that they did not have a veggie brasen option. she checked with the kitchen and as she suspected, we eat fish all the time. this is really regrettable, because the previous review and the personal assurances had written it down as a rare vegan-friendly standout. my wife chose veggie sushi, edamame and Tempoura aggies (apparently there is no ice in her teig), and we had another great time. the owner is a really attentive, nice man and the staff is great. for them carnivores out there, the sushi is also excellent. watch the broth when you are a vegetarian/vegan."

"Our neighbor recommended this place as a solid mother and pop old school Japanese restaurant and it is exactly that. Nothing beautiful, but reasonable prices, solid portions and delicious food. We got the chicken catsu Curry and yakisoba were both exactly what we were looking for."

"A small place that most people would drive by without noticing it, but I'm glad I decided to stop here. Service is A+. They are quick to sit and offer menu and their specials. I went at 5pm and they had happy hour in rolls. Buy one get one 50%. Ordered energizer roll and a dragonroll?, edamame was served as complimentary while we waited for our rolls. Also ordered fried gyoza and for dessert we ordered pineapple cake with ice cream. The rolls were great, super tasty and filling. The edamame was the usual, still pretty tasty. Gyozas were nicely fried. And the dessert as a suggestion of our waitress, was amazing. The cake was warm and moist. Also ordered some drinks. The prices are fair and the food is really good. I recommend this place and will come back."
