"Very cool venue for baton rouge. Fun place to hang out and drink as well. Pretty grungy, but in a good way. Five stars because its pretty unique in BR and is more fun to see shows here than at the Varsity."

"Everything was amazing except for the sauce that goes on the cauliflower. I think it may have spoiled either on the way here because of the heat or just wasn't good to begin with. I actually paid for extra and neither was good."

"Very cute cafe on Government Street with plenty of parking on the side. The coffee themed interior is decorated with market lights. The yellow on blue color palette makes it very vibrant. The coffee is good, the staff are nice. They also serve breakfast and lunch, but we did not have a chance to try it yet."

"I must say that when we first went to Solera, shortly after they opened, we had a pleasant experience. Our recent visit, however, was a huge disappointment. The service was good, but the bar area is sparsely decorated opening on to an adjacent dining area with a couple pictures of flamenco dancers. We ordered drinks and tapas?. Calamari, ?Tomato Toast? and Piquillo Peppers. The Calamari (fried with citrus aioli)was no more than frozen Calamari and mayonnaise. I asked for red sauce? Safrito, Piquillo, Romesco or anything but mayonnaise. It took a long time, which our server explained that all sauces were ?house-made?, so it takes longer. What I received was ketchup with some ?hot sauce or chilies? mixed in. I did not finish the now cold Calamari. The Piquillo peppers were lukewarm served on stale bread? did not taste the rosemary honey. The Pan con tomate (tomato toast) was cold grated tomatoes on stale bread. ?Pan con tomate? should be tomato, garlic and olive oil broiled over sourdough. Not so sure about their claim of ?authentic Spanish tapas?. Something has changed since their opening."

"We're from Orlando and really had no idea what to expect from downtown Baton Rouge. We picked this place to eat because it had something for everyone one is a vegetarian, two are simple to please meat eaters, and I favor seafood . We dined there around 3pm on a Tuesday so it wasn't too busy. The music was nice to listen to and the restaurant was styled in rustic industrial with a big Louisiana mural on the back wall. It looked like they had a lot of beers on tap but we didn't order anything. Neily was our bartender/server and she was very nice, welcoming, and attentive even though she was the only one on the floor. My boyfriend and friend both had the DCB burgers which they said were juicy, flavorful, and filling. My vegetarian friend had the veggie burger which was basically a mushroom burger with the traditional burger set up and she said it was a great burger since she loves mushrooms. I had the smoked shrimp roll which was delicious! I don't usually get stuff like that back home. Both couples got a large steak fries bowl to share and there was a lot of fries! The fries were extra though but the portion size definitely outweighed the price $2.50 for small or $5 for large . After we were finished we talked about how good the food was. Overall everything was delicious and Neily took great care of us! If you're looking for a spot to have some good lunch Driftwood is your place. :"
