"I have just left this shop in tears. Went to order fish and chips with my 3 young boys. My 3 year old was having a tantrum and I was doing my best to ignore him. The older staff - a lady and a man kept looking at me disapprovingly. First they asked me to stop my children moving around which I did, then they told me to wait at the back of the store which I didn't quite understand as i can't order if Im not at the counter. When I finally had enough and asked why they are being so rude to me, the older man came bellowing over and started screaming at me saying to get out of his store and that if I write a bad review on the internet he will quote "come after me". I couldn't believe what I was hearing and told him not threaten me. He continued to say he will fined out where I am from and come after me. At this stage the woman and other customers expressed that he is out of line and I am visibly shaking. I go to this shop regularly with my family but will now no longer step foot in there. I have never in my life been treated so aggressively and threatened over a fish and chips review. I did not think of myself as someone who would write negative comments on the internet but I will also not be silenced by an aggressive and vile man"

"I had the day off to enjoy the sculptures and decided to come here for lunch. It was a busy Friday, but they still managed to give me a beach view table. Service was attentive and friendly, and the Italian waiter gave good recommendations on the menu and wine. I went with the zucchini flower fritters, organic feta, and rocket salad, and the Skull Island flaming Tiger prawns with grappa truffle oil, and a couple of glasses of the Great Southern Riesling. The flowers were crispy and the cheese gave the dish a good punch of flavour. There was also a nice light aioli with the dish. The star of the lunch was the flambé prawns which came to the table flaming. Nice theatre. And my first bite, amazing – fresh, soft, buttery, silky smooth and so sweet. I don’t think I have had prawns this good; highly recommend, and thank you for the waiter for pointing these out to me. I had the elderberry panacotto for dessert which was also good. Overall, a pleasant, relaxed lunch with excellent service and food. Will come back."

"Tried Fish Tales for the first time tonight, and came in with high hopes considering the high rating. Ordered the seafood combination and mini fish and chips... Unfortunately It was the most underwhelming, tasteless fish with the most tasteless cardboard chips. Won't be coming back to say the least. Worst $30 spent."
