"Forget all the fancy hoity places, this is as down to earth regional France as you could hope to find. We speak ‘a bit’ of French, just as well as I don’t believe anyone here speaks English. DON’T LET THAT PUT YOU OFF!! This place is just utterly fantastic. It’s what most people rightly think of as ‘proper’ France.Get in there & mingle, they’re a friendly crowd & we went for lunch last year on a Sunday.(I’m a bit late writing this up). The food is lovely, we had two courses & couldn’t manage dessert. There’s a small dining room to the left of the front door, which is where we ate, or you can stay in the bar & eat if you’d rather watch TV with your meal. Either way it’s a really jolly place, not particularly in your face, but fun & really good value.Obviously it isn’t the Ritz, but in its bracket I can’t recommend this restaurant highly enough.Phil."
