"Intended to visit on the way home from a family day out on Saturday 4th June. Facebook and Google confirmed chip shop was.open so we decided to take a detour as we often travel to this shop specifically even though we live out of area. Disappointed to see a note on the door when we arrived that the shop was closed for several days without updating opening hours online. Hence a wasted trip from Herne Bay, three upset children, two frustrated parents and a pooch that was looking forward to a battered sausage having to make a last minute change of plan because the opening hours advertised on the internet were incorrect. A shame as we always travel to this shop specifically from outside the immediate area. Very disappointed."

"We tried Marino's as it looked the best place to get some food in the area. We tried the large haddock which was extremely fresh and not too heavily battered. It was cooked to perfection and very large. The chips survived the journey back to our hotel and were plentiful. All was nicely presented in a box. There is a big step into the shop so care was needed getting in."
