"We spent 2 nights at the Gasthaus and Pension Bauernhausl Mirko Taubrich while visiting Potzcha and the Saxony Switzerland. The guesthouse was very centrally located and easily accessed by steamer ship or train if you do not have a car. The front of the guesthouse overlooks the Elbe river and has a lovely terrace where we ate a delicious meal of 'pfferlinge ' (chanterelle mushrooms). The rooms were very clean and modern with brand new bathrooms and very good beds. The breakfast was excellent and overall the guesthouse is very good value. However we found some of the staff a bit grumpy and not particularly welcoming or helpful. The big issue for us was the proximity to the railway tracks we had rooms facing the train tracks and trains run by every half hour. The noise was initially overwhelming but by the second night we had got used to it (a bit). Still, I found that I did not sleep well because of the train, which was a shame, given the otherwise lovely location. This, combined with the staff who were a generally unfriendly and unwelcoming, means that we probably won 't stay here again. I would suggest the other side of the river to get away from the train noise!"
In beautiful weather you can even eat in the outdoor area, And into the accessible spaces also come visitors with wheelchairs or physical limitations.
