"This was my second time at Olivia. I thought we should give it a second try as the first try we got a gift certificate as we complained about the food. (We never complain) however, my pasta tasted like it was soaked overnight in seat salt and my boyfriends pasta tasted like pine nuts! We asked the server what he recommended after making the comment about the pasta and he said to try the beef next time even though they are a "Italian" restaurant. Tonight we decided to give it another try as mentioned above. My beef was okay but not with for price. The presentation was also not appetizing as my mashed potatoes were soaked in gravy. My boyfriends beef tartar did not even taste like beef due to the strong lemon spices used on it. To top it all off he had a piece of cork in his wine. The service was also slow, the server had not yet taken our drink requests and asked what our main course would be. Unfortunately I thought the first time was just a bad day but I would refrain from visiting if you want quality Italian food or simply quality service! Felt bad for the servers!"

"We had been to a play in Morrisburg and it was the perfect place to stop for dinner on the way home. What a delightful surprise. A three course dinner with coffee or tea for $20 on a Wednesday night. I had the chicken kiev on a beautiful plate with potatoes and carrots mixed into a puree, red cabbage, asparagus, a large pretty carrot and a lovely flower. I was surprised to see a brown sauce on the chicken but it was very tasty with tiny onions. My husband had the fish with basil and tomato sauce on couscous. He had the Caesar salad to start and I had the salade maison which was beautiful and served in a large angled bowl. Dessert was a wonderful chocolate cake or maple cake. We have to return to try the maple cake. It is bring your own wine and the décor is lovely too. I can't wait to try it in the winter. Prices are a bit more on other nights."
