"Horrible for food allergies and celiac. They absolutely didn’t understand cross contamination or what foods might contain gluten. They have a notice on their menu that says “please alert us to any dietary restrictions or allergies “ and then had absolutely no idea what to do with that information. The nachos for my kids came out in a fried flour tortilla shell. I sent my food allergy card back to the kitchen and failed to mention they fry their own chips in a common fryer. I ended up losing my appetite and my husband and I put our food in to go containers and left, and didn’t eat it because I didn’t trust it."

"Big Yard is a nice restaurant in the Fish Fry (Arawak Cay). The team at the restaurant are nice. I wanted to try Conch fritters but the girl taking our order informed us that Conch fritters are not available for the whole order but she can manage to get me a sample to try. And later she surprised us by bringing the whole order to please us. My husband ordered a chicken dish and it was also good. The drinks we ordered were good too. I ordered Shirley Temple a non-alcoholic drink and my husband ordered the local beer called Kalik. Which was mild in taste. The restaurant was an open air space and is good for family and small groups depending on its busy hours. Since the restaurant is I. Arawak Cay you will get a proper parking space. The restaurant is moderately priced. But if you will order combos or big meals then it may get a bit expensive."

"During our week in the bahamas was mckenzies the only place we visited twice! excellent prices, the freshest seafood and great location directly on the water. directly above the bridge of the paradise island it was worth the easy walk. grilled lobster and cone! friendly people and mix of local tourist. best place for fresh seafood!"
