"Located on the main drag in Brissago, this family-owned restaurant is nondescript from the outside and therefore easily overlooked. Opened year round (one of the few in Brissago) and frequented by locals, San Marco serves tasty Swiss and Italian fare at very reasonable prices. Cordon Bleu is the house specialty and they do it up as good as any fancy-schmanzy place around the world. Today, thoroughly enjoyed the lunch menu (CHF 14.00) - fresh salad, followed by grilled bratworst and perfectly-prepared risotto. If you're looking for tasty local eats at reasonable prices in touristy Brissago, this is the place."

"Decided to catch bus 316 from Ascona to Brissago to see what I would see.Passing all the houses built into the cliffs of the lakeside at a million an apartment I arrive in Brissago Surprise surprise not much was open so having bought a cigar from the cigar factory I found a restaurant with the view of the lakeAt first I was the only guest and asked what I could have? Spaghetti, Lasagna or chopSo I had a mixed salad and Lasagna. Safe standard food which was good but nothing specialThe section with the lake view was closed but I was next two a impressive open fire place which though it had started to snow was not lit. Shame I saw the owner who did everything heat up my lasagna and serve meWith drink and coffee 32 ChfIt might be better in other circumstances."
