"I had dinner here with 5 friends on a recent night out in Obertauern, we were impressed with the restaurant from the moment we walked in. Teh decor is very modern, the atmosphere is super, and despite the openness of the dining space, it's still quite easy to carry on private table conversations.The menu is upscale Austrian, I had a delicious beef soup with knodel and a really tasty shrimp appetizer dish as my main. My friends' choices ranged from salads to steaks, and everyone really enjoyed everything that we ordered.The service was very professional and attentive without being intrusive. The location is a little down the hill from the main part of Obertauern, but certainly an easy and manageable walk from almost every part of the village.Apparently the Beatles stayed here during the filming of "Help", so there is fun Beatles memorabilia throughout the hotel (not so much the restaurant). It was kind of fun walking to the bathroom and back and seeing the old posters and pictures from their time in Obertauern.Steinbock was the best meal I had in Obertauern, very tasty, very reasonably-priced for the quality and portion sizes, and all in a very nice atmosphere."
