"Stayed at the adjoining campsite and went in here one evening. Initial reaction was good as we had drinks served and our menu choice was taken quickly. First course arrived - French onion soup and crevettes which were both OK. Hubby said his soup had a lot of cheese in but it was OK. My prawns were supposed to be in a whiskey sauce but you would never had known however subtle the taste was supposed to be. Very expensive for small prawns. I ordered the beef bourguignon which was fine - but my dauphinoise potatoes were stone cold and no one came near the table until I had finished the meat which was no use offering to heat it up then. I had a bottle of wine and hubby a soft drink and the bill was 74 euros which we felt was expensive. Some friends of ours were on the adjoining table and her wine was late arriving and his ice cream came when she had finished her pud. She had some sort of cherry pie but it still had the stones in which she said made it very difficult to eat. We didn't try it again and we would have had it been OK."

"My wife stumbled through this restaurant while our family lived here. It is located in a historical landmark near the center of the city. We had a wonderful dinner! Some things should be mentioned. At first they spoke very little English. That made it... a bit challenging for us, but nothing we could not overcome. Secondly, I don't know if this is the case every evening, but the night we went was a set price fix menu. It was delicious! Started with an aperitif, then filled mushrooms, a main course, salad, and then cream brulee for dessert. They also delivered 2 bottles of red wine and freshly baked pizza oven rolls (they advertise that you want as many as you want what we use fully). All for 25 Euro/person! Given the prices we paid for dinner in other cities outside Paris (Bayeux and Chartres), it was a steal. Overall, I would recommend it if you were on the Loire Valley!"
