"Comfortable, clean and unpretentious. Super friendly and helpful staff. Amazing food. You can have formal or casual dining and the menu is the sane for both venues. The hotel is a very short walk from the town centre and train station, and is situated close to the A9 if you are driving around the Highlands. Rooms have a trouser press, coffee making facilities and a laundry service if needed. Very quiet rooms at night. Breakfast was excellent."

"Place looks like it hasn't been tend to for years. Rooms are disgusting and everything looks like it is falling apart. Had to wander around the place to find someone to check me in as no one was to be found. Same for breakfast, we just helped ourselfs until someone finally showed up. Rooms: 1 Service: 1 Location: 2"

"Over the past couple of months the Rotary Club of Tain and Easter Ross has begun to hold an evening meeting here once a month. Derek and Heather's staff have been superb at making us and our guests welcome. The menu choice has been excellent and the quality of food superb. Last week we had unexpected guests from Sutherland and New South Wales in Australia. It was no problem to add 4 more settings to our table and our guests were delighted with everything."
