"We visited here as the culmination of a thrilling afternoon swimming in the lido. As it was February, the lido was unattended but as we were already ready to swim, we could just walk in. The restaurant is within touching distance of the sea ...don’t be tempted to eat near the car park or the public toilets as this place is head and shoulders above. Great menu and friendly staff."

"It took for ever to get our lunch fish of the day but unfortunatly it wasn't wort waiting for. My husbond got some meget he wasn't able to chew it. When the waitress took our plantes, and asked if it had been...good, i answered no. Then they started talking internally, AND decided to feed the dog with the rest of the meet, right next to us "

"If you find yourself in or near Santana, look no further for dinner. I will also say i’ve never written a food review before but i felt it was necessary. I’ve seeked out the best food on madeira outside of Funchal for the past 10 days and this place deserves a spot high on the list. I had the lapas and seabass with vegetables which was all cooked to perfection. I spoke with Chef Fernandez prior to having my meal and could tell he puts his heart into every dish that leaves his kitchen, it’s not about the money. He chose a wine for me that went great with the meal and I will also include he speaks fantastic english. Possibly the most fresh fish i’ve eaten in Madeira so far. It was a great experience to say the least, there’s a reason why his restaurant has 5 stars."

"I don't like to slaughter with a very bad note when it's not completely justified so I put 3 stars because the kitchen was really good. But nothing went well for us tonight. We were talking in a private way with my companion of the puss tasted two days earlier in another city of the island, the waiter had to listen to our conversation because here he brings us two puss. We didn't have the day before taken advantage of our welcome puncha so we naïvely thought it was a catch-up unfortunately no). The server then asks us what we chose. We order a grilled calamars dish and a meat dish. After a long time, we are served, the calamars dishes are well at the rendezvous but the meat dish lacks the call. On the other hand we see on our table a bowl of caco bowl not ordered. We understood that the meat dish will never arrive and decided to leave a chance to dessert accompanied by two large coffee. Unfortunately, in this restaurant the big coffee has the size of an expresso... A long text to finally say that if the service was as good as the dishes served, the evening would have been perfect and the comments on this restaurant would all be unanimous, I doubt it. We remain positive and satisfied with our stay, the guest rooms are superb and without a great meal we will keep a super souvenir Food: 4 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1"

"Vorab sei gesagt, dass der Fisch lecker zubereitet war. Aber der Preis? Nahmen den angepriesenen Tagesfisch für zwei Personen. Da das Gericht nicht auf der Karte stand wussten wir nicht was er kostet. Dachten an einen normalen Preis für eine mittlere Seebrasse. Denkste. Für einen mittleren Fisch 35 Euro inkl. ein bißchen Gemüse und etwas Salat auf einer kleinen Platte. Wucher. Das Essen war zwar gut aber total überteuert. Frech. Wenn ihr da hingeht nur die Gerichte auf der Karte bestellen, da gibt es einen klaren Preis. Der dachte sich die Touristen zocke ich mal ab. Nie wieder."
