"Today I decided to give Ches' Mt. Pearl one more chance, since my last visit was very dissappointing and after phoning in the order, I still had to wait 15 minutes. I ordered two 2 piece fish and chips and was disgusted with what was on the plate. Two pieces of fried batter, about 5 inches long and 2 inches wide with a small piece of fish in the center smaller than a cod nugget. It was tasteless like it never saw the salt shaker. The clerk was indiffernant and the words please and thank you were not uttered. To think this service only cost me 39.08 basicly it was for two french fries . This was their last chance. I will never be going there again. Fool me once............"

"Ches's is one of the most delicious places I have eaten in St. John's. Their chips are amazing! My chicken sandwhich is always perfect as well. They also offer you a little free cupcake after your meal. But you should also try the five star bar for dessert. It is the perfect ending to a perfect meal. Just the right size so that it doesn't make you stuffed but leaves you with your sweet craving fufilled. The staff is always friendly and make you feel at home. You gotta give it a try, you won't regret it!"

"It was everything I expected and more. I have to laugh at the people who say "it was standard chip truck fare". Nothing wrong with that. Fish and chips is comfort food, and Ches's didn't disappoint. Service was super quick, chips were crispy and fish was golden and delicious. They did have a sign up indicating that they were serving previously frozen fish (which was considerate), but you really couldn't tell. I would definitely go back."
