"We only ate here because for some reason on a Thursday lunchtime no-one was open. We were pretty much the only people there. The tablecloths were dirty and the owner was rude, lighting up his cigar right next to us and spending the whole time...More"

"They only served 1 menu because other dishes are for guests from guesthouse. Anyway, the food was tasty and served very quickly. Quality of food and service was really high and the price was not that bad. We enjoyed the meal and cake."

"Manche der kritischen Kommentare vermag ich nur sehr eingeschränkt nach zu vollziehen. Die Obauers kochen sehr bewusst eine reduzierte Landesküche. Das machen sie nun schon viele Jahre so und haben dafür nun wohl jede Auszeichnung erhalten, die man sich denken kann.Für uns war es der fünfte Besuch über einen Zeitraum von rund 20 Jahren.Fazit: Immer noch eine sichere Bank! Hier passiert der Küche kein Fehler, kein Gericht wirkt unharmonisch und keine Unhöflichkeit würde sich der Service erlauben.Alle Gänge hatten schöne, klar herausgearbeitete Aromen, die sich immer auf die ursprüngliche Zutat konzentrieren. Herausragend gut war die Variation von Alpenlachs als Vorspeise - der rohe, gebeizte Lachs war Weltklasse! Kritik? Manches bleibt so doch etwas vorhersehbar. Das Dessert von der Haselnuss schmeckte nett, aber eben "nur" nach Haselnuss. Wahrscheinlich würden die Brüder das als Kompliment und nicht als Kritik verstehen. Das ist auch ok so. Ich meine, so kann man sehr gute Küche machen (und die bekommt man geboten) aber ich würde eben auch keine Reise ob der Küche machen!Der Service bei uns am Tisch war sehr bemüht, eifrig und pflichtbewusst. Etwas mehr Herzlichkeit und Lockerheit hätten gut getan. Dieses Mal saßen wir draußen im herrlichen Gastgarten, man muss eben auch Glück mit dem Wetter haben. Die Bestuhlung dürfte allerdings durchaus einmal erneuert werden und etwas gemütlicher dürften die Stühle dann schon werden.Die Preise sind hoch, aber absolut angemessen und z.B. viel preiswerter als nebenan beim Döllerer.Fazit: Hier macht man nichts falsch, aber zu den Top 5 im Land würde ich das Haus eben auch nicht mehr zählen.Tip: Warum die separate vegetarische und vegane Karte erst auf Nachfrage kam erschließt sich mir nicht. Wir hatten gar nicht gedacht danach zu fragen. Erst nachdem der zweite Gruß aus der Küche auch nicht gegessen wurde kam das Gespräch darauf und so entdeckten wir quasi eine komplette zweite Speisenwelt. Das sollte offensiver angeboten und beworben werden."
