"There were two vegan main dishes on the menu (baked sweet potatoes with dips and linsenbolognese). as starters you can choose a carrot tomato soup. they also offered a vegan chocolate cake as dessert. the portions were a little small, but still quite good."

"Wir waren nach einer Veranstaltung in der Michaelskirche in die Johannsstube gekommen, mit 6 Personen. Die Wirtsleute boten uns den Stammtisch neben dem Tresen an. Wir kamen rasch ins Gespräch, das Fachwissen von Armin Treusch fesselt jeden Neugast wie Stammkunden. Wir bestellten Hüttenthaler Goldklümpchen (in Teig ausfritierte Handkäsestücke auf Salatbett mit Kräuterschmand), Grünkernsuppe mit Griesklößchen und hausgemachte Maultäschle. Alles traditionelle Gerichte in raffinierter Variation. Freunde und Gegner von Handkäse haben diesen Käse noch nie so schmackhaft gegessen, garantiert.Wer Spaß daran hat, trinkt sortenreine Apfelweine.Insgesamt ein Odenwaldgasthaus mit Charme, raffinierter Küche aus regionalen Produkten. Über die z.T. renovierungsbedürftigen Sanitäreinrichtungen kann man gerne wegsehen."
