"I was moderately devastated when my favourite Papparich branch closed down a few months ago. The rumour was that apartments would be built on the site (just what we need....more apartments). So I was surprised to find that this seafood restaurant has opened here instead. <br/ <br/ Walking in, there have been some cosmetic changes. There are table cloths now and the chairs have been reupholstered to mimic the aqua blue theme of the restaurant. <br/ <br/ The food was surprisingly good and reasonably priced. We had the seafood wat tan hor which had generous amounts of seafood and was well seasoned. The sambal on each table was exceptional and I wouldn't mind taking a bottle of the sambal home with me. <br/ <br/ The highlight of my day was the whole fried fish with Thai sauce the fish was quite large and fried perfectly. The sauce and accompanying vegetables went very well together. This came with a generous serve of jasmine rice. <br/ <br/ So if you're looking for competitively priced seafood dishes, this place is a reasonable choice."

"The best chippy we have in the Eastern suburbs.Chips are the best you'll have.Get Amelia to do half half (Chicken salt salt) and mix in a ladle of the battered crispies.The burgers are home made and are strangely the best sellers recently with the younger crowd.Potato cakes are home made as well.The fish is fresh and well prepared."

"I eat fish and chips only twice a year, so I want it to be good. JJ’s never disappoints. The whiting and blue grenadier has a beautifully sweet flavour, and the batter is perfectly crunchy. Chips are great must be the quality of the oil. Potato cakes are also awesome, and they always throw in an extra. The staff/owners are super polite. Love being able to support a local small business."
