"We were seated outside the place is quite small but very neat. there is a set menu. we were first served sardines very tasty followed by a platter of fire grilled fish including calamari also very tasty wine and fruit and coffee is included in the price 20 euros per person what made us very unhappy was that because we did not finish our platter we asked to please take it home . it was taking quite long in coming when we inquired where was our parcel we were told sorry but it was thrown into the waste unforgivable because there was still a serving at least 2 person.for the rest it was alright."

"The restaurant is nice, well decorated and with curtains that fade the noise of the surrounding tables without creating a dark atmosphere.The food is very good, especially the cod, at a correct price and portions are really big, so be careful when ordering or you will need to diet after the visit!But the service is really slow and unorganized, as usual around Portugal. Several waiters just spinning from table to table without any ongoing duty, and the food took one full hour to arrive from ordering to the first bite! And the restaurant was not overcrowded, just half full... I'm aware that a big piece of Cod needs a long time on the BBQ, but absolutely not one hour! 20' including resting as much.So when food arrived, our hunger had already left after digesting the nice appetizers they brought as soon as we sat; be aware that are not a blessing of the house, they will be charged as well as the bread, but this is a common practice in Portugal.Nice food, slow motion. Enjoy."

"It's a little hike from central Porto (not difficult with car GPS) parking can be difficult, but we're so glad that we came. The area is not particularly charming (it's essentially shipyards), but apparently the place for fresh seafood. Most of the restaurants...in this area have the same setup: small restaurant plus a glass-walled pod (the size of a small shipping container) on the sidewalk with a huge grill. You can see huge plumes of smoke as they grill the fish! Warm welcome and very friendly service. Super fresh fish in a non-touristy setting. Dinner with house wine was each. DOn't know how this compares to the similar restaurants in the area, but we had a great time"

"On our last day in Porto, we decided that we wanted to treat ourselves with a visit to one of Matosinhos' many seafood restaurants. We had this one in particular recommended from locals, and luckily it did not disappoint us in any way. The waiter spoke English really well, and was super sweet, recommending wine, and telling us about the menu, in a professional, caring way. We felt appreciated, and taken good care of, all the way! It was a top priority to dive into that crab experience that we had seen other places in town, and heard about from people back home. But instead of just settling for the crabs, we chose a mixed sharing plate, consisting of almost everything we could possibly wish for. The gigantic schrimps were actually the best of everything, so fat and rich in taste. The crab was as huge as we'd hoped it would be. The whole body of it flipped upside down, and stuffed with crab meat that had been mashed up with mayo, or something. A tasty blend that worked well with the cubic lightly fried bread that came in. Barnacles, smaller shrimps, and ever lobster, and two types of dip, completed the experience. If you're going to Matosinhos don't forget to visit Mauritânia!"
