"Food was covered in flowers and dried petals. I had my daughter with me and I asked for another dish without the garden on, they charged me for both dishes. For a quick breakfast we were there over an hour and £60 lighter for the experience. Also we had booked but they hadn't bothered to put a reservation note on one of the tables so we had to suffer the angry faces of others as they were asked to move for us. Won't be returning. Bacon is turkey and the quality and quantity of the food was shocking"

"Out for a spontaneous midweek Italian with my partner. We were greeted warmly and ordered some pre meal drinks. I noticed the table wasn 't particularly clean and the furniture is generally tired. There were spiders webs and dust on the walls. So my impressions were not well furnished or clean. The ambience wasn 't what I was expecting from the frontage of the restaurant as this is more of a café mostly noted as the drinks were plonked down on the cloth-less table and we were bluntly advised the kitchen was closing soon so if we could 'hurry with our order '. I 'm sorry but if the kitchen is closing you could argue why we have sat down in the first place, you instantly feel rushed and unwelcome and we should 've left. It was 8pm may I add and I thought this was a restaurant? Therefore the ambience is nonexistent nor very relaxing and as is so typical of restaurants in this area it is very much a 'get in ' and 'get out ' place. I didn 't expect a fine dining experience but if you are paying to eat out you shouldn 't feel rushed like the restaurant are doing you the favor for allowing you to eat there. When the waitress (Who was pleasant) took our order the front of house man came again to the table and said the 'kitchens closing soon ' at which point I felt like saying well why did you sit us down and what more can I possibly do to speed up this process? I am placing my order and I 've been in here for little over 10 minutes. On most days at this point I would 've literally just paid for the drinks and left. The food was pretty average but not desperate, the Muscles were bland with too much sauce and the pasta dishes were 'claggy ' and had been over flavored with oregano herbs to some tune to which I could 've done better in my own kitchen. I really went in to Avanti hoping a long established restaurant of the Moor would come up with the goods but sadly it 's not for me and I wouldn 't return."
