"First of all, let me just say that everyone at Sea Empress was really friendly and helpful. Well, if we could just take this great service and bring it to some of the dimming centers in the SGV, we would be set. The shrimp fun was actually quite good. The thousand-year-old egg/pork look was quite standard. There is something wrong with the siu mai, I do not think that the pig was sanded enough, and there was not much taste. The shrimp dumpling had a hint of chlorine taste. The taro root gao was okay, but cold. The Mini Ice Cutard darts were good. It's pretty decent for the hood. But if the SGV is your backyard, it's hard to be impressed by this sum. This is not to say that all dim sum places in the SGV is good, it is certainly not. I would rate New Capital the same or even lower as her food is bad AND the service is bad. Top Island would also get a low rating from me."

"Warehouse row on Avalon Blvd, not the nicest area, what with all the broken down RV's and trash on the sidewalks. On the other hand, the service is excellent, and the prices are very reasonable. Deducted one star for the depressing area and very tiny parking lot."

"Great place for fried fish. Love the flavors, I used the lemon on my Red Snapper and it opened up a refreshing combination of spicy and tart that forced me to continue eating. Red Beans and Rice and Cabbage were my two sides and they brought the heat. The food is well seasoned and isn't overly salty like you find with most fish fry coatings nor is it oily. Good portions make this spot perfect for lunch, dinner, or for snacking. I ordered online just before closing and took it to go. There is out door seating options underneath an awning that would be excellent on a sunny day. The owner is pleasant and ready to take your order."
