"Received an afternoon tea gift voucher from my wife for my 50th birthday and had a wonderful time. The staff were friendly and helpful, the food was amazing and the House itself is simply stunning. We had a walk around the grounds after our lunch and enjoyed the wonderfully maintained gardens and sculptures. I’m guessing it’s not cheap so not something we could do often (though we would like to! , but as a special gift for a loved one I would highly recommend it."

"Decent plant based specials (burger and salad) for me and the wife. Shame they appear to be specials and not on the permanent menu. They seem to have mastered plant based now previously this place lacked any non meat options, and the vegan burger they used to have we so greasy it left a bad feeling the stomach."

"I took my mother to this pub recently and we both agreed it was great. When I asked about accessibility the person on the phone was very helpful and offered to reserve a convenient parking space. The pub itself is very nice inside, well presented and has a good ambience. The service was first class, friendly and attentive without ever being intrusive. The menu featured several tempting offerings; we both settled for sea bass, which was perfectly cooked. If I want to be picky the broccoli cauli were a bit on the soft side for me, but that's personal preference and it didn't spoil my enjoyment. And then the big test....the syrup sponge with custard. Would there be a proper amount of custard or just a tiny little poxy pot on the side? I'm happy to report that this was a slam dunk, and I found myself eagerly facing a sponge island in the middle of a sea of custard....outstanding!"
