"We stayed at Les Sabots (part of the chateau) in the village but only a short step from the chateau and swimming pool. Sabots is a fine old house with plenty of space and excellent facilities.We ate at the restaurant twice on fine dining evenings and both meals were excellent. The chateau also offers speciality evenings during the week and BBQ on Sunday lunchtime, which we were unfortunately unable to enjoy. The chef was very accommodating for any dietary needs.The bar was cosy but with an excellent selection of cocktails, aperitifs and the wine list was varied with a French/international flavour. The gin and tonic and Sancerre were excellent.Nothing was to much trouble for the owners (Bill and Kevin) and Richard the chef."

"While staying at the hotel, we had dîner at the restaurant. Service is great and accurate. We took the mid price menu. Limited choice but that a sign that food is fresh. Limited but mouth watering choice. We had foie gras, excellent and cooked to perfection. Only caveat, you have to pay some fees to get it. My wife and myself do not like this too much. Afterwards duck for me extremely tasty and perfect. My wife took the ballotine. Desert was perfect also. Despite the wine list is rich and tempting, we followed the recommendation of the owner and opted for the local Château la Fleunie wine. We will not remember it for long time but it was OK, certainly for the price. As a summary, we recommend the restaurant for the quality of food, the service and the place."

"We spent 1 week in the pavilion Positive points: friendly staff, sumptuous setting, good restaurant and breakfast, very large swimming pool. Negative points: room too small, tv too small, no air conditioning, no mini bar, unheated swimming pool, comfort and leisure facilities that deteriorate (3 aircraft on 10 hs in the gym, bad pool tiles..., maintenance of buildings at least. The price is far too high for this hotel that does not deserve its stars at all."
