"Cannot review the menu or food at La Ferme Gourmande as the table we had booked (7pm, outside, 3 dog was not honoured. We arrived 10 minutes early for our table and waited to be seated, due to the customer in front of us, arguing for an outside table. Eventually upon being greeted, we were informed our pre-booked (outside table was not available. With a dog, during the pandemic and on one of the the hottest day of the year so far (32° , we had to walk away. We had no choice but to use the campsite restaurant next door which has great service and honest food. So, imagine our surprise as we queued at the fantastic campsite bar and looked over at the terrace of La Ferme Gourmande we saw the same customers who had just spent 20 minutes arguing seated at outside table. I would seem that if you want your reservation honoured at La Ferme Gourmande, prepare yourself for a argument."

"Staying at Guines we decided to visit Saint Joseph Village with two six year olds. On arrival, one said this looks boring but in fact she thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon we spent here. A labour of love, the village recreates the past with shops, windmill and even church. The fact that they were in different scales did not matter. It is amazing the amount of work and thought that has gone into this, the vision of one man."
