"Tamale House has gotten to be one of my favorite Portland area restaraunts. The masa in the tamales is unlike any I have ever had, it's so delicious (on par with the amazing meat inside). The portions are huge. I just got a 2 tamale plate and it's easily 2 meals for me, and I'm a big eater. The staff are always very friendly and nice too. I really couldn't ask for a better restaraunt experience. Make sure to get a cheese jalapeno tamale, they're my favorite!"
Look forward to the diverse, delicious Mexican cuisine, traditionally prepared with corn, beans and chilies (hot peppers), The barbecue is freshly prepared here on an open flame. But the undisputed highlight of this establishment is the tasty Sushi such as Maki and Te-Maki, and easily digestible Japanese meals are being made with lots of freshly harvested vegetables, fish and meat.

"I happened to come in because I was very hungry. It was stunningly good for a place with a sushi train. After eating, I noticed a sign that they have hand rolls. I ordered a few at the next visit and they were perfectly good, just not the best quality, fish wise. If you do not expect much of a sushi train, this place is worth it because it is surprisingly good. I can't expect to come back because I noticed that they've got ramen now."

"We went for lunch on Aug 8 around 1pm. The food was great. The options available are in abundance. The restaurant is clean and well kept. The only complaint is that the server doesn 't check back for refills on drinks. She also made me feel as if I inconvenienced her by asking for some spicy mayonnaise. That aside, still a great dining experience. What made my rating go down to a 2 star is my experience at check out. I never received my bill at the table and we sat there for a while waiting. I figured I 'd go up, maybe this location doesn 't bring you the bill to the table. I went to the counter and went to pay. I swiped my card and got my receipt. Upon looking at my receipt, I realized I was overcharged. Not a big deal. I respectfully bring it to the cashiers attention. She tells me to swipe my card for a refund, which I do. Then she re-rings up my order for the correct amount, tells me to swipe my card which I do. Now that that is all taken care of and resolved, we leave. A couple of days later I 'm checking my account online and I notice not only am I charged the incorrect amount, but I 'm also charged the correct amount. Neither are pending charges. They both have cleared. I attempted to call the store, no answer the first time, I figured they were busy. I called again the next day, there was a communication issue with the lady who answered, so I ended up having to dispute with the credit card company. The issue has since been resolved but I wanted to let people know to check your receipts BEFORE paying your bill. I made the mistake of not doing that, I take responsibility for not having done that but unfortunately I doubt the store will for their part being that both attempts to notify them failed. All in all, good dining experience and great food!"
